Avoid these food when you are stress..


Aslmualaikm. Hmm, in the previous entry, i have shared with you about the food that you can eat when you feel down & stress. But in this entry, i would like to share with you about the foods to avoid when you feel stress. Hope this will help you. ;)

 

1. Caffeinated beverages
This is found in coffee, tea, chocolate, coke & others. It causes the release of adrenaline, thus increasing the level of stress & can cause anxiety. When taken in moderation, coffee can increase our alertness, increased activity in the muscles, nervous system and heart. But, when we consume too much caffeine, it has the same effect as long term stress. It is suggested that there is a link between caffeine intake and high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.
 
Be careful in reducing the coffee or caffeine consumption. Cutting it off abruptly can result in your experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Reduce the consumption slowly over a period of time. If you are currently addicted to coffee, drink black tea; it has less than a third of the caffeine of coffee, and none of the harmful oils. 1 day didn't take nescafe, i fill my day is not perfect. Really addicted. Now trying to control the consumption of nescafe.




2. Trans fatty acids
Found in sweets like cakes, pies and cookies, trans fats compromise the immune system, which causes more stress on the body and also increases your risk for heart disease, breast, colon & prostate cancers.



3. Sugar
Sugar causes spikes in blood sugar levels, which robs your adrenal glands of their ability to control stress hormones and protect the body against stress. Reduce sugar in your coffee, add more sweet in your smile ;)
